Aridol / Osmohale

Pharmaxis has one product available in market, a bronchial provocation test called Aridol or Osmohale. It is approved in Australia, UK, Europe and Korea for identifying airway hyperresponsiveness, a key clinical feature of asthma.

Bronchitol

Bronchitol is Pharmaxis' second product in development. Bronchitol, is a drug designed to reduce the amount of mucus build-up in the lungs of patients suffering from chronic respiratory conditions. Bronchitol hydrates the lungs, helps restore normal lung clearance, and allows patients to clear mucus more effectively. Pharmaxis is developing Bronchitol for diseases including cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis. Bronchitol is a proprietary formulation of mannitol administered as a dry powder in a convenient hand-held inhaler. It is currently in ongoing clinical trials in patients with cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis.
