Aridol, a bronchial challenge test, is approved throughout much of the world for identifying airway hyperresponsiveness, a hallmark of asthma.

Bronchitol

Bronchitol is Pharmaxis' second product in development. It is currently approved in Australia for the treatment of cystic fibrosis (CF). The Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) recently adopted a positive opinion recommending the granting of a Marketing Authorisation for Bronchitol, clearing the way for the product to be used in Europe “for the treatment of cystic fibrosis in adults as an add-on therapy to best standard of care.” In addition to use as a treatment for CF, Bronchitol is also being studied in patients with bronchiectasis. A large clinical trial in bronchiectasis is ongoing.
